Welcome to 2nd Grade! I received my Bachelors of Science in Education from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater with a minor in Social Studies and have been teaching CG-B 2nd Graders since 1995. It has been an incredible blessing over the years to teach in the same school district I grew up in.
My goal each year is to encourage my students to grow both academically and socially. We work together as a class to become like a family, helping and encouraging one another, learning from our mistakes, discovering our gifts, and celebrating our learning along the way. I enjoy seeing the incredible growth that happens in 2nd grade as they go from learning to read, to reading to learn. Fostering positive relationships with my students and their families is of importance to me to help each child grow to their full potential.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids. We especially enjoy visiting various National Parks and historical locations. I enjoy drawing, painting, and finding ways to use my creativity.
