Board of Education

The Cedar Grove-Belgium Board of Education has the dual responsibility for implementing statutory requirements pertaining to the education of the students of the Cedar Grove and Belgium communities and for addressing the needs establishing communication channels with residents of the school district, establishing policies and procedures, providing district governance, and making decisions based on sound educational philosophies and district-wide goals.

Public Attendance at Board Meetings is Welcomed!

The Board of Education meets regularly on the second Wednesday of each month. The meetings are held in the HS Library with the exception of the September and March meetings which are held at the Village Hall in Belgium. During the monthly board meetings, there is opportunity for members of the community and members of the school district staff to address the Board during the Public Input portion. The Board of Education does not take action on public input items or may defer the topic for discussion and potential action during a future Board meeting.  By attending meetings, more can be learned about the district's accomplishments, the challenges the district faces and how the Board works to find the best solutions based on the resources available.
