Cedar Grove-Belgium School District

District Strategic Plan

Cedar Grove-Belgium School District Strategic Plan

The Cedar Grove-Belgium School District embraces its mission to educate every student to function effectively in society as competent, productive, caring, and responsible people and are committed to achieve our vision that all students receive the best education possible making the Cedar Grove-Belgium School District the educational system of choice. The Cedar Grove-Belgium School District is committed to making every classroom a place where every student is engaged by gaining critical knowledge and being provided an equitable opportunity to apply skills in meaningful ways.

The Cedar Grove-Belgium School District has the ability to work in dramatically new ways while aligning its work in a manner that meets the expectations of the community and addresses the district’s specific challenges. It is through a formalized plan that sets a path forward to realize this future. The formalized plan is intended to be a road map that will guide the actions and decision-making of schools and the district as a whole. The Board of Education believes it is important to have a strong, coherent plan while recognizing that consistent, quality execution is even more important. Resource allocation decisions and building specific needs will be aligned with plan priorities through a transparent process. Board leadership, district leadership, and school leadership will continue to engage staff at all levels in the planning and decision-making process. The work to be done will represent RWay of doing. RWay is unique to the commonly held beliefs about what it means to be a member of the Cedar Grove-Belgium School District and Community: RWay . . .

demands commitment, exhibits selflessness,

accepts reality, yet seeks improvement everyday,

while keeping students at the forefront.

The strategic plan document outlines the district’s long range plan and is considered a working draft, designed to evolve based on parent and community input and completion of action items.  The plan considers state laws, federal laws and regulations affecting school districts and will be revised each year to reflect changes and progress.
