Introducing Dr. Elizabeth Freeman!

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Elizabeth Freeman to the Cedar Grove-Belgium School District. Dr. Freeman joins us with a wealth of experience from Community Unit School District 300 in Algonquin, IL, where she served as Chief Academic Officer and previously as Director of Professional Development and Programs. Dr. Freeman holds a Doctorate of Education in Curriculum, Instruction, and Educational Leadership from Loyola University, a Master of Education from National Louis University, and a Bachelor of Arts in French from Northern Illinois University. An accomplished author, Dr. Freeman has explored topics such as mindfulness, innovation, and professional learning communities in her publications.

Dr. Elizabeth Freeman has been serving as Community Unit School District 300’s Chief Academic Officer in Algonquin, IL and has worked in District 300 since 2018 previously holding the Director of Professional Development and Programs Position also in District 300. Dr. Freeman has also held the position of Assistant Superintendent of Innovative Learning, Teaching and Technology in Fremont School District 79 and Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Services in Rochelle Township High School 212. Dr. Freeman earned a Doctorate of Education: Curriculum, Instruction and Educational Leadership from Loyola University, a Master of Education: Curriculum, Instruction and Educational Psychology from National Louis University and a Bachelor of Arts: French from Northern Illinois University.

A published author, Dr. Freeman has written about mindfulness, innovation, and professional learning communities, serves as a CODiE judge for innovative educational technology software, is a member of the state and national superintendents association, the state principal association Learning Forward, and ASCD.

Dr. Paul Orlich is currently serving the Suring School District as Superintendent. Before that he served as the high school principal and superintendent for the Mishicot School District.

Orlich began his education career as a special education teacher in the Green Bay Area School District, working with students with emotional behavior disorders. From there, he started his administrative work as a dean of students for the Unified School District of De Pere.

He also has experience as a director of pupil services, principal, assistant principal, dean of students and teacher.

Orlich earned his Ph.D. in educational administration from Marian University in Fond du Lac. He also received master’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Marian. Additionally, Orlich is a combat veteran, having served in Iraq during 2007-2008 with the 101st Airborne Division, and has since retired from military service.

Lynn Bub has been serving as Principal, Sheboygan Falls Elementary School since 2014.
