Michael Ansay Distinguished Alumni – Class of 1972
A successful business leader and generous supporter of Cedar Grove-Belgium Schools, Michael Ansay has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to giving back to the community that helped shape him. Through his significant philanthropic contributions and continued investment in future generations, he has made a lasting impact on students and educational opportunities throughout the district.
Paul Dekker, Coach – Class of 1971
For decades, Paul Dekker has dedicated himself to Cedar Grove-Belgium athletics and the community, leaving an enduring legacy as a boys basketball coach, mentor, and role model. His passion for developing young people both on and off the court, combined with his many contributions to the school and community, has inspired generations of students and athletes.
Christy Knowles, Distinguished Alumni – Class of 1994
A trailblazer in public service, Christy Knowles made history as the first woman elected Sheriff of Ozaukee County and continues to serve in that role today. Her leadership, dedication to public safety, and commitment to serving others exemplify the values of Cedar Grove-Belgium and provide an inspiring example for future generations.
Kurt Mattek, Athlete – Class of 1996
Kurt Mattek distinguished himself as one of Cedar Grove-Belgium’s premier athletes, capturing a Wisconsin state wrestling championship through determination, discipline, and hard work. His accomplishments on the mat remain a source of pride for the school and serve as a testament to the excellence that can be achieved through perseverance.
Morreen Mersberger, Distinguished Alumni & Friends
Morreen Mersberger devoted her career to educating and inspiring students as a longtime middle school teacher while championing veteran causes that strengthened both the school and the broader community. Known for her tireless advocacy, compassion, and commitment to making a difference, she has positively impacted countless lives through both her profession and her service.
