Middle School Athletics

Welcome to Cedar Grove-Belgium Middle School's Athletic Department

Participation in athletics helps students learn teamwork skills as well as build individual character. In order to participate in MS Athletics a student must be in good academic standing. Eligibility requirements are outlined in the middle school student handbook. Below are descriptions of the athletics offered at the middle school and the dates and grade levels to which each is available. All students participating in athletics will need to receive a physical exam.

Physicals for the 2021-2022 School Year

Typically, the WIAA requires a physical exam prior to participation in interscholastic athletics and every two years thereafter. Due to COVID-19, the WIAA is allowing a one-time extension of the two-year period for student-athletes with physical exams forms already on file. For fall sports in 2020, student-athletes that have had a physical within the past two years may receive an extension into the third year until they are able to get a physical with their primary care physician.

If the latest physical is prior to April 1, 2020 -- Parents of participants are required to complete the newly created physical examination extension form and submit the document to the HS Office along with the Athletic Participation Form.

Otherwise, if you’ve had a physical AFTER April 1, 2020, that physical is good for the 2021-2022 school year.
