NOTICE OF APPOINTMENT TO FILL A
BOARD OF EDUCATION VACANCY – AT LARGE SEAT
You are hereby notified that the Cedar Grove-Belgium School District Board of Education, pursuant to Section 17.26 of the Wisconsin State Statutes, will appoint one member to fill an existing vacancy on the Board of Education.
Any qualified elector of the district who desires to be considered a candidate, must file a Declaration of Interest in the District Office stating elector eligibility and desire to be considered for the appointment. Interested candidates also may submit a letter of introduction to the board.
In accordance with Section 120.06 of the Wisconsin State Statutes:
1.The candidate for the AT-LARGE position must be a qualified elector residing within the boundaries of the Cedar Grove-Belgium Area School District.
2. A written, signed Declaration of Interest, must be filed with the District Administrator on or before 3:00 pm on June 8, 2026.
The appointment will occur at a future board meeting. The term of this appointment will end April 26, 2027.
Please note the candidate wishing to continue in the AT LARGE position after April 26, 2027 must file papers for the Spring election to be held on April 6, 2027 and then be elected to a three year term of office.
